THE 'IMPULSE' OPERATIONAL-DISPATCH CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A METALLURGICAL COMBINE SECTION,

Abstract

The article describes the 'impulse' control system and the control algorithm developed for steel mill operations between the open hearth section and the blooming mill. A structural diagram of the system consisting of a control computer at the higher level and automatic railroad devices, visual signal display unit, manual input terminals, and locomotive and sensors at the lower level is presented.
