CRITICAL HEAT FLUX UNDER FORCED WATER FLUX,

Abstract

Experimental data on boiling burnout under subcooled water and steam-water mixture flows in tubes are examined in relation to data on external, longitudinal flow around a single tube in a symmetric annular gap. The effects of various parameters on the burnout heat flux are considered, and empirical formulas for calculating the burnout heat flux are proposed.
