APPLICATION OF ULTRAVIOLET AND INFRARED SPECTRA IN STRUCTURAL DETERMINATION OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS,

Abstract

The general principles of the formation of absorption spectra due to rotation, vibration and electrons are briefly discussed. The energy relations in electron absorption and vibrational absorptions are defined. The schemes of measurements and their application to structure determination are outlined and their application in research in medicine are emphasized. (Author)
