INFLUENCE OF CONTINENTAL DRIFT ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF TERTIARY BENTHONIC FORAMINIFERA IN THE CARIBBEAN AND MEDITERRANEAN REGIONS.
Abstract
A marked degree of similarity exists between the benthonic foraminiferal faunas of the Mediterranean and Caribbean regions from the Paleocene-Early Miocene. The stratigraphic ranges and geographic distribution of several groups of benthonic foraminifera are discussed. (Author)
