A METHOD FOR COMPUTER SIMULATION OF AIRPORT SURFACE TRAFFIC.

Abstract

A method of simulating airport surface traffic using a fast-time digital simulation technique is presented in the report. The control process that regulates airport traffic (both aircraft and ground vehicles) is described, and it is proposed that the airport surface environment be handled by taxiway and terminal subsystems. A method of approach is described for generation of the traffic samples, route selection, conducting the simulation, and validation of its results. (Author)
