FINAL REPORT,

Abstract

The general theme of this research has been the experimental study of the magnetic properties of insulators, particularly in the attempt to study the interactions between magnetic atoms. The work divides itself into three parts: (a) experiments involving high pressure techniques, (b) experiments on magnetic properties usually involving high magnetic fields, (c) development of high magnetic field equipment.
