AN APPLICATION OF THE BALAKRISHNAN EPSILON TECHNIQUE TO THE SOLUTION OF PURSUIT-EVASION GAMES,

Abstract

Necessary and sufficient conditions for completion of pursuit-evasion games governed by nonlinear differential equations are presented. It is shown that the 'epsilon method' for computing optimal control can be applied for solving the pursuit-evasion games. The existence of the solution for the epsilon problem is proved, and the relation between the original game problem and the epsilon problem is shown. Further, necessary conditions for optimally for the epsilon problem are presented. (Author)
