THE OPTIMUM SHAPE OF NON-COHERENT PULSE SIGNALS,

Abstract

A method is shown for calculating the optimum shape for radar pulses which will insure minimum dispersion in estimates of distance to the target and speed of the target. Optimum pulse shapes are shown for different noise levels when pulse amplitude and phase modulation are present. (Author)
