DEVICE FOR DETERMINING FRICTION FORCES DURING TUBE ROLLING,

Abstract

The report describes a device for measurement of friction forces during tube rolling using a sleeve with a cut at right angles to its axis. Both parts are tied by a strain measuring bolt and spherical nut, and therefore tensile stresses in the sleeve are absorbed by this combination. The above stresses are produced at the contact surface of the sleeve. (Author)
