INVESTIGATION OF THE PROPERTIES OF LOW-NICKEL AND NICKEL-FREE CASEHARDENING STEEL GRADES WITH A VIEW TO USE IN HEAVY-DUTY GEARS,

Abstract

Properties of low-nickel and non-nickel carburized grades of steel applicable for heavy-loaded gear wheels are discussed in extensive laboratory and industrial experiments to study the physicomechanical properties of samples of Cr-Ni low-Ni, and non-Ni Si-Mn steels and to investigate the strength properties of gear wheels.
