METHOD OF BONDING GRAPHITE WITH METAL,

Abstract

The certificate introduces a method of bonding graphite to metal in which the bonding material, prior to heating, is placed between the surfaces to be bonded. To minimiize crack formation in the bonded joint by coordinating dimensional variations during cooling, the graphite part is first heated above the melting temperature of the bonding material, and then the metal part is heated to a lower temperature by transferring the heat through contact with the graphite part. 14 dimenstional dimensional
