POWDERED METAL FRICTION ALLOY,

Abstract

To reduce the specific gravity and increase the friction coefficient of the title alloy, the following composition is recommended (in volume percent): Fe, 3, Pb 6, graphite 8, bakelite powder 30, asbestos 18, and the balance Al. Part of the Al (up to 10 percent) can be substituted by Cu. (Author)
