RATE OF SEDIMENTATION IN DEEP WATER (Skorosti Nakopleniya Glubokovodnykh Osadkov),

Abstract

Investigations carried out by several expeditions concerning the rate of sedimentation in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans are discussed and evaluated. Similarly, the results of various sampling and calculation methods are compared and evaluated, namely: radium, radio-ionic, ionic, ionic and thorium, beril, protactinium-ionic and radio carbon methods. On the basis of such analyses, the most dependable rates of sedimentation for red clay are found.
