CORRELATION ANALYSIS OF CHEMICAL SHIFTS OF PROTONS IN CYCLOPENTADIENYL RINGS IN THE PMR SPECTRA OF MONOSUBSTITUTED FERROCENES,

Abstract

The chemical shifts of PMR for several substituted ferrocenes in CCl4 and DCCl3 have been measured. The substituted groups included the following: COCH3, COC3H7, COOH, COOCH3, CONH2, CN, SO2, SO2C6H6, OCOCH3, Cl, Br, I. The correlations of the PMR chemical shifts obtained with resonance and inductive substituent constants are discussed. (Author)
