EFFECT OF SUBSTITUENTS ON REACTIVITY OF THE IRON ATOM IN FERROCENE DERIVATIVES,

Abstract

The Redox potentials of 60 monosubstituted ferrocene derivatives were determined by means of potentiometric titration. The corresponding logarithms of equilibrium constants were correlated to the values of Hammett's and Taft's constants. The interaction of some substituents with the Fe-atom is interpreted in terms of field-effect. (Author)
