INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE PRIMARY PRODUCTS OF IMPULSE PYROLYSIS OF AMMONIUM PERCHLORATE USING A TIME OF FLIGHT MASS SPECTROMETER

Abstract

The thermal breakdown of ammonium perchlorate was studied using a modified experimental method to aid in the detection of instable products. A description of the method used is described. The primary products of the breakdown reaction in the temperature range studied were ammonia and perchloric acid.
