ELASTIC EQUILIBRIUM OF ISOTROPIC PLANE WITH A DOUBLE PERIODICITY,

Abstract

The article summarizes the solution of a problem on the elastic equilibrium of an isotropic plane weakened by a double periodic system of two identical circular openings in the case when elastic discs of a foreign material are welded into the openings. The results obtained are used to solve the problem of reducing the 'double-period grid--disc' system to an equivalent solid plane. In addition to the exact ratio specifying the reduction to the elastic parameters of the equivalent solid plane, some compact approximate ratios were also derived. (Author)
