SEQUENTIAL ONE-SAMPLE GROUPED RANK TESTS FOR SYMMETRY: BASIC PROCEDURES.

Abstract

Wilcoxon presented rank tests for hypotheses on location for both the two-sample and one-sample (paired samples) problems. Wilcoxon, Rhodes, and Bradley developed group sequential rank tests for the two-sample problem using a model under alternative hypotheses proposed by Lehmann and with ranking within groups of fixed size, the groups being taken sequentially. The purpose of the present paper is to present similar sequential extensions of the one-sample, signed ranks test. (Author)
