PERIOD OF COMBUSTION AND HEAT EXCHANGE IN THE COMBUSTION OF GASEOUS FUEL,

Abstract

This is a review of recent Soviet research and development on gas and oil fired burners for industrial boilers, heating systems, and gas turbine engines. Attention is focused on the ignition of gaseous fuel, chiefly natural gas. The chief points of interest are problems of the intensification of combustion processes, heat exchange during ignition of gas fuel, methods for igniting gas fuel, ignition of gas in the combustion chambers of gas turbines, and simulation of ignition processes of gas fuel.
