MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY USING DUAL-HARDNESS, HEAT-TREATABLE STEEL ARMOR.

Abstract

Detailed manufacturing procedures and techniques were developed for forming, joining, machining and heat-treating dual-hardness, heat-treatable (HT) steel armor. A review and study was made of the pertinent data, not only on dual-hardness (HT) steel armor, but also on 'High yield' steels and MIL-S-12560 Class II armor. (Author)
