HIGH VOLTAGE BREAKDOWN STUDY.

Abstract

In the report a recently completed five-factor, two-level, full-factorial experiment, termed the Block-of-32, is analyzed for the factorial influences of anode material, cathode material, electrode pretreatment (hydrogen or vacuum firing), anode size and anode shape. The changes brought about on the electrode surfaces by repeated breakdowns are examined and time-to-voltage-collapse measurements are reported. (Author)
