ELECTROPHYSICAL APPARATUS (COLLECTION OF ARTICLES),
Abstract
The collection contains articles on accelerators and their components. In particular, problems are considered relating to a sector magnet having an inhomogeneous field, implicity polar quadrupole lenses, the operation of linear electron accelerators, overvoltages and cascade generators, fluid dynamics in mobile chambers and other problems. Several articles deal with measurement methods in the field of electrophysical devices and, in particular, with magnetic measurements on electron synchroton, measurements of the phase velocity in waveguides and other measurement problems. The technological components of the devices are considered from a design viewpoint in the articles on metal ceramic film condensations, on the behavior of irradiated glass-plastics, etc. Some articles are concerned with magnetohydrodynamic conversion and special unipolar machines for magnetohydrodynamic conversion. Finally, the collection of articles considers problems concerned with electric power supply systems and their control applicable to electrophysical devices.
