LOCAL SYSTEMATIC ERRORS IN AERIAL RADIO ALTITUDE DETERMINATION,
Abstract
An analysis of local systematic errors in aerial radio altitude determinations in conjunction with aerial photomapping was made. The causes and extent of baromet-r and radio altimeter error were examined, using photogrammetric materials to check instrument readings. The investigation revealed that local systematic errors are significant. Measures are prescribed to minimize the effects of these errors during aerial photographic operations. (Author)
