EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF A COAXIAL PLASMATRON WITH NATURAL GAS,

Abstract

The results of an experimental study of a coaxial plasmatron with magnetic stabilization of the electric arc are presented. The construction of the plasmatron is shown. The directions of circulation of the arc and gas are opposed in the first series of experiments. In the second series the gas flow in the vicinity of the arc is noncirculating. Conditions for the appearance or absence of coking of the inner electrode are described. (Author)
