Abstract

A systematization and generalization of all available data on aluminum borides, including properties, production methods and uses, detailing elemental boron, the aluminum-boron system, aluminum-boride production, the experimental investigation of the process of aluminothermal production of AlB12, and multicomponent systems with participation of boron and aluminum. Specific discussions include use of aluminum-boron compounds in the field of semiconductors and abrasives. (Author)
