THE ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION OF HIGH-ENERGY ELECTRON BREMSSTRAHLUNG ON A DIAMOND CRYSTAL,

Abstract

The angular distribution of 1-Gev photons due to bremsstrahlung of 6-Gev electrons on a diamond crystal is given. The beam direction was selected at an angle of 1.55 milliradians relative to the (110) crystal axis; the angle between (110), and (110), (001) planes was taken as zero. Calculations indicate that for each specified reciprocal lattice vector the quanta angular distribution possesses a specific shaped character. Calculations also give the conditions under which it is possible to separate an individual line in the bremsstrahlung spectrum on the crystals. The results of such calculations are indicated for 2 bremsstrahlung collimation spectra. Also calculated is an expression for the differential cross sections of pairs created in the bremsstrahlung process. (Author)
