THE PROBLEM OF A LASER WHICH IS STIMULATED BY HARD RADIATION,

Abstract

A short analytical review is made of semiconductor lasers pumped by 'hard' radiation (e.g., electron beam). The review consists of three sections: possible transition schemes; generation threshold in the stationary regime; and free carrier absorption.
