FREE PISTON GASIFIER STUDIES DEVELOPMENT OF A HYBRID SIMULATION,

Abstract

The development and operation of a hybrid computer simulation of a free piston gasifier is described. The unique advantages of both analogue and digital computers are exploited by using the analogue computer to generate cylinder pressures and to solve the piston dynamic equations while the digital computer performs the thermodynamic calculations.
