DISTORTION OF SOME 'SQUARISH PULSES' IN A CONSTANT GRADIENT MEDIUM.

Abstract

The exact responses to some 'squarish pulses' from a point source are found by using an integral representation due to R. R. Goodman. The resulting distortion is shown to depend only on the dimensionless parameter travel time multiplied by the magnitude of the gradient. (Author)
