THE RELATIONSHIP OF SCHOOL INPUTS TO PUBLIC SCHOOL PERFORMANCE IN NEW YORK STATE,

Abstract

An earlier paper related expenditure per pupil and school district size to average achievement performance of pupils in basic subjects in a sample of school districts in New York State. The data have been reanalyzed with an eye to shedding some light upon production function relationships of education when considered as a firm. The paper outlines some findings from that research.
