ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY IN PURE TYPE-II SUPERCONDUCTORS NEAR Hc2.

Abstract

The electrical conductivity for pure type-II superconductors for magnetic fields near H sub(c2) was calculated. The calculation is carried out in the extreme pure limit for frequencies and relaxation times such that omega tau > 1. The conductivity in the absence of fluctuations, i.e. with a static vortex lattice, is calculated in a manner similar to the procedure used by Brandt, Pesch and Tewordt to obtain the density of states. In particular the off-diagonal elements in the Gorkov factorization are determined by using the Gorkov integral equations and the response function is shown to have the periodicity of the lattice of fluxoids in the center of mass co-ordinates. Using this periodicity, an expression for the response function may be obtained. (Author)
