Measurement and Analysis of the Transport of Fast Neutrons in Liquid Nitrogen

Abstract

The neutron spectrum was measured as a function of distance from a point source of 14 MeV neutrons in a tank of liquid nitrogen. Pulse height data were taken with a 5 inch spherical NE 213 spectrometer. The report describes measurement of the detector response functions and unfolding of the spectra from the pulse height data.
