PRELIMINARY STUDY OF CREVASSE FORMATION. BLUE ICE VALLEY, GREENLAND, 1955,

Abstract

The investigation described in this report is an outgrowth of a project started in 1954. The investigation was directed primarily toward gaining some understanding of the geometry, mechanics, and thermodynamics of crevassing in a very small, simple area, and attempting to solve some of the serious instrumentation problems.
