A MICROCALORIMETER FOR MEASURING LASER ENERGY,

Abstract

The microcalorimeter contains a fluid-receiving vessel and a protective hood with vacuum-thermal insulation. In order to increase the sensitivity and eliminate dependence on energy distribution within the vessel for temperature reading, the light-receiving vessel is filled with a fluid which has maximum absorption in the region of wavelengths emitted by lasers. The device is equipped with an optical system for projecting the emission measured to the center of the vessel, simultaneously serving as light receiver and reading instrument.
