VOLT-AMPERE CHARACTERISTICS OF AN A-C ARC BURNING IN A VORTEX-CIRCUIT PLASMATRON,

Abstract

Investigation of the plasmatron with gas-vortex stabilization of the arc made it possible to establish the volt-ampere characteristic of the arc in criterial form in the considered range of changes of determining complexes. The proposed formula can be used in designing high-power plasmatrons. A heavy-current a-c industrial frequency arc in the company of an auxiliary h-f arc burns in a plasmatron stably and without breaks in the current. (Author)
