METHOD OF DEPOSITING ELECTROCONDUCTING COATINGS,

Abstract

Metallic film on a glass surface can be deposited in a more satisfactory way by preparing the used solution as a colloidal suspension. Pulverised glass can be used successfully. The ingredients of the solution mixed by weight are as follows: 100 parts of ethyl alcohol, 100 parts of lead chloride, 1 part of antimony trichloride, 150 parts of glass powder and 5 parts of boron oxide. The glass object that has been wetted with the solution is initially cured at 120-150 degrees C and later according to the type of glass and the thickness of film deposited a post curing takes place at 400-700 degrees C. The method is recommended for the preparation of cathodes in gas discharge counting valves. (Author)
