Abstract

A proposed lubricant for the cold rolling of metal is a suspension of zinc oxide in a saturated aqueous solution of salts. It has the following composition: table salt, sodium nitrate (19-35%), potassium nitrate (18-34%), and zinc oxide (3-11%). (Author)
