INVESTIGATION OF THE PLASMA FOCUS OF A COAXIAL INJECTOR,

Abstract

Using a coaxial injector with deuterium, the authors study parameters of the plasma focus. A Fabry-Perot interferometer with neon-helium laser as illuminator is used in conjunction with a camera and oscillograph to record density distribution in plasma discharges. Soft x-ray, an electron-optical camera, plastic scintillator, and a pinhole camera with Al and Be film absorbers are used to measure plasma temperature. The spectrum of plasma in the visible region is recorded with the aid of an ISP-51 spectograph and electron-optical camera. Resulting spectrograms were used for independent monitoring of temperature and density of plasma in the focus region. (Author)
