NONFABRIC GLASS PLASTICS,

Abstract

This booklet is intended for readers interested in polymer materials, and especially glass-reinforced plastics, which are among the most promising polymer materials. Glass-reinforced plastics combine high strength with low weight and can therefore be successfully used as structural materials, particularly in aircraft manufacturing. It is also expected that glass-reinforced plastics will find soon a wide application in construction of small, light buildings, automobile and railroad cars, sport equipment, etc. The booklet outlines the properties of polymers, polymer adhenon to glass, glass reinforced plastics structure, their heat resistance, etc. (Author)
