SPACE-TIME DEPENDENT CORRELATION FUNCTIONS FOR ONE-DIMENSIONAL HEISENBERG SPIN SYSTEM IN A LORENTZIAN - GAUSSIAN APPROXIMATION.

Abstract

Comments are given concerning the recent work of Fernandez and Gersch on the frequency Fourier transform of the self-correlation function for a one-dimensional, S = 1/2, Heisenberg spin system with nearest neighbor exchange. The frequency Fourier transform of the self-correlation was computed as well as those for several spatially separated correlations. The results are in good agreement with those calculated by Carboni and Richards from an ab-initio, exact procedure.
