REPETITION AND REHEARSAL MECHANISMS IN MODELS FOR SHORT-TERM MEMORY.
Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical discussion of the probable general mechanisms of repetition and rehearsal in short term memory. It points out the implications of the various mechanisms and evaluates their relative adequacies. It examines questions on the representation of rehearsal in models for short term memory. (Author)
