STUDIES OF DEGRADATIVE ACTIVITIES OF FILAMENTOUS MARINE FUNGI.

Abstract

A summary is given of a research project intended: (a) to investigate early fungal infestation of submerged wood and the role of this mycota in biodegradation, and (b) to analyze specific fungal induced degradation of cellulosic and other high molecular weight polymers through comparative studies of enzymatic processes.
