THE IMPLICATIONS OF ADP NETWORKING STANDARDS FOR OPERATIONS RESEARCH

Abstract

The report discusses the aspects of data processing which have hindered the integration of operations research capabilities in large decentralized organizations. Networking is proposed as a means of promoting OR integration, the factors which have inhibited successful networking are discussed, and ADP standardization is suggested as a means of overcoming existing limitations.
