GROUP BEHAVIOR IN A SIMULATED PANIC SITUATION.

Abstract

In the light of recent criticisms of the use of deception in psychological research, studies were conducted to investigate panic behavior using deception-free techniques. The results suggest that role playing is a fruitful technique for the study of panic behavior offering several advantages over the previously used laboratory approaches which attempted to simulate a stress situation.
