AN ITERATIVE APPROACH FOR THE CORRECTION OF ITERATIVE ERRORS

Abstract

The errors most likely to occur in a high-speed multiplier are called the iterative errors. An arithmetic coding technique for correction of such error patterns is proposed. A class of codes is presented and its error correcting ability is shown. The unique feature of this code is an iterative decoding method.
