REPRESENTATIONS AND EXTREMAL PROPERTIES OF AVERAGING OPERATORS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS TO INFORMATION CHANNELS.

Abstract

The report gives general discussions about averaging operators acting over complex function algebras on compact Hausdorff spaces. The construction is based upon the informational channel between a pair of certain alphabetical input and output spaces. The starting point is the known characteristic properties of ergodic measures. Such characterizations for measures are completely and exactly extended to the cases of the averaging operators and of channels, which clarifies the structure of ergodic channels. (Author)
