RECURRENCE STATISTICS FOR CERTAIN CLOUD-COVER CATEGORIES,

Abstract

Values of the parameters associated with the kernel of an approximating function developed to estimate conditional probabilities of recurrence are compared across two similarly derived samples of cloud-amount data. The results tend to suggest the existence of an invariance property related with the parameters with respect to arbitrary categories of cloud-cover amounts. (Author)
