GENERALIZED FUNCTIONS OF MATRIX POWERS.
Abstract
The generalized matrix functions of Issai Schur are studied. Inequalities and limit theorems are obtained in case of positive semidefinite hermitian matrices. Corresponding limit theorems for nonnegative irreducible matrices are also developed. (Author)
