EPR SPECTRA OF Gd(3+) IONS IN Gd(3+):MeF2 CRYSTALS.

Abstract

The Gd(3+) Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectra has been investigated in the series of MeF2 (Me = Ca, Sr, Ba) crystals. The site symmetry and crystal field coefficients in the spin Hamiltonian have been determined in a number of cases. A description of a computer program under development to aid in analysis is included. (Author)
