DRAG IN RAREFIED GASES.
Abstract
The long term and short term objectives of the research program are described. Various problems that have been singled out for investigation are categorized in five main areas; namely, the drag problem, the diffusion problem, the thermal escape problem, the shock structure problem, and the plasma-body interaction problem. Brief descriptions of these areas as well as a list of publications that summarize the results of the studies are given. (Author)
